After retiring from the Chicago Public School system, Nancy Hinchliff moved to Louisville Kentucky, bought an historic Victorian house and turned it into a bed and breakfast. As an educator, she taught music, creative writing, English, and ESL. As a Innkeeper, she has been in business for 16 years and has started collecting and documenting stories and remnants of her experiences so that they may be eventually be turned into a memoir. A writer and editor most of her adult life, she has written journal articles and worked on a variety projects both on and off the Internet, most recently completing a two-year writing and editing project for the Bed and Breakfast Association of Kentucky which resulted in a published hard-bound coffee-table cookbook and a President’s Award for work on the project. Now, although still interested in journalistic type writing, she has also turned her attention to poetry and memoir.
